'Tis a New Year, folks, and a new beginning for us Gidy Girls! Happy New Year to all of you, and may it be a year for finishing off lots and lots of UFOs.

Yes, we will continue. To those that got a lot done last year: Well done! You are a shining example to us all!
To those that didn't: Maybe a little more whip cracking required?

3rd Quarter gone!

Well, there goes the 3rd quarter! How much did you achieve?

I managed to start a few new things, but no WIPs or UFOs were done! Congratulations those who did cross things off.

The usual draw was made for a winner - each finished UFO getting an entry. The winner is Sooziii (Christening Gown entry)! Congrats, Sooziii!

As soon as I work out what you have won, I will post it off to you. :)

BTW, Blessed, I still don't have your addy to send your prize off.

Good luck with the Final quarter, everyone! Don't let all those Christmas projects get in the way of at least finishing one thing!

Running Ahead or Running Behind?

Are you ahead with finishing UFOs or are you getting left behind?

June has now begun, so you have 1 month to get your name up on the finished list. The prize this Quarter is not going to the person with the most finished, so don't get disheartened by Pennie's burst of energy! :)

Instead, for every completed UFO, your name will go into the draw for the prize. Doesn't that make you want to finish something?

So get cracking, everyone! Get those entries in!

1st Quarter Tally

The First Quarter for 2009 is over. How did you go with your finishing goals?
If, like me, you didn't finish any, did you at least work on some? (I did!)

Here's the Tally results for the 1st Q:

• 9 of the 14 Gidy Girls completed one or more UFOs


• Pennie completed the most with 3 shot down, and Narelle came in 2nd with 2


• Those 9 girls completed 1 knitted garment, 1 wallhanging, 3 quilts, 1 bag, 1 cross-stitch, 2 table cloths, 1 set of stuffed dolls, and 2 small/mini quilts.

Great effort ladies, for a start to the year, but we want more, more, more completed in the next quarter!

As a reward, there will be a little something in the mail for you Pennie; and Narelle, if you send me your addy (my email is here), there will be a little something for you as well.

Ha! You didn't know there were bonus rewards, did you? So come on Gidy Girls, get cracking! Who will get the award next quarter?
